2014 FOOTBALL SEASON RECAP: CONFERENCE CHAMPS!

The 2014 Clemente football team was a success, even with many ups and downs during the start of summer training and a lot of turnover of student athletes who transferred in or out of the school over the summer. The team worked hard during the brutal summer months, and began to excel with the newcomers to the program. Clemente concluded the season with a 7-2, 6-1 record and won the Chicago Public League Football (Inter-City 1) Conference Championship.

Based on the read-option scheme taught by Coach Clark, the team predominantly runs the football. Sophomore Quarterback #7 Richard Labon rushed for 577 yards, scored 8 rushing touchdowns and passed for 308 yards with 5 passing TDs.
