21st Century CLC grant application

The Union League Boys & Girls Clubs, in collaboration with the Illinois Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs and the Roberto Clemente Community Academy (Chicago Public School District), intends to apply for a continuation of its 21st Century Community Learning Center grant for FY16. The grant was initially awarded in FY13 and, through the grant continuation process, will continue until FY17.

The purpose of the 21st CCLC Program, as described in federal statute, is to provide opportunities for communities to establish or expand activities that focus on:

-Improved academic achievement

-Enrichment services that reinforce and complement the academic program, and

-Family literacy and related educational development services
