WELLS VS CLEMENTE 9-24-2015
On Wednesday September 24th, the Clemente Boys Varsity Soccer team hosted their second conference home game of the season against the Wells Raiders at the Allstate Field at Humboldt Park. Clemente began the game slow, allowing a quick goal at minute six of the match. The Wildcats bounced back and Christopher Martinez scored the equalizing goal at the 11th minute. With both teams in attacking formation, Wells was able to score their second goal five minutes later. Christopher was able to find the net and score his second goal of the game at the 30th minute of the match. The Raiders were able score their third goal five minutes before the half, resulting in a halftime score of 3-2 in favor of the Wells Raiders. Goalkeeper Brandon Espino dove to save a potential goal-scoring opportunity for Wells, preventing them from increasing their lead. With the final score of 3-2, the Wildcats hope to find their first win of the season in their next conference game against the Phoenix Firebirds.
