Constructing Geometric Structures

autocad1Geometry students spent the week designing houses, stadiums, spaceships, and other geometrical structures as part of their unit assessment. Over the past week, students have applied their learning to design a blueprint on both paper and on AutoCad, a computer engineering program. First, students came up with a plan for a structure, then used compasses, protractors, and other tools to draw all of the views. Next, we spent time in the lab using the AutoCad software to fully plan the structures. Next week, students will test their blueprints by building small models of their structures.
