It’s October and that means it’s time for FAFSA!!!!! Throughout September, Clemente seniors have been preparing to apply to the FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID. The FAFSA application opens on October 1, 2016, at 12:01 A.M. and our seniors are ready. The Post-Secondary Team at Clemente has worked with our wildcats to ensure that they not only understand the process, but are ready to apply for federal student aid with their families.
The U.S. Department of Education is the largest provider of student financial aid in the nation and for many of our former Clemente students made post-secondary dreams become a reality. The U.S. Department of Education helps make college possible for our dedicated wildcats and students across the nation by providing more than $150 billion in federal grants, loans, and work-study funds each year to more than 13 million students paying for college or career school.
The U.S. Department of Education ensures that our wildcats and their families benefit from the following:
- Information for our wildcats and their families about the availability of the federal student aid programsand the process for applying for and receiving aid from those programs
- Development of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA®) and processing approximately 22 million FAFSA submissions each year
- Accurately disbursing, reconciling, and accounting for all federal student aid funds that are delivered to our wildcats and students from across the nation each year through more than 6,200 colleges and career schools
