Angela Murdock

After a long battle with cancer, March 15, 2007, Angela Murdock, previously Assistant Principal at Clemente, passed away.

Ms. Murdock left behind her mother, two sons, three grandchildren and one sister, as well as a very large extended family of those who loved her.

Ms. Murdock started teaching as a biology teacher at Clemente High School in 1978. She graduated from Calumet High School in 1966 and from college in 1971.

Ms. Murdock taught microbiology for most of her teaching years. While she loved teaching she was called by the administration to become a dean because of her ability to work with students. She was in charge of one of the house floors for several years before she was asked to become an assistant principal by principals Geraldi and Negron.

When Ms. DaMota became principal, Ms. Murdock became the dean of students in charge of enrollment and discipline. Shortly thereafter she became assistant principal in charge of personnel.

Ms. Murdock was forced to retire by her illness on December 1, 2006.
