Homecoming Week Highlights

Roberto Clemente High School hosted its annual homecoming dance on Friday, October 26th. It was a fun, exciting way to end a week filled with school spirit.

One of the highlights of the decorations was a grand entryway. Students entered the gymnasium through hanging blue and gold streamers, with the opportunity to take photos against a “Wildcat” backdrop. Photos were taken by Clemente student volunteers, and were made available the following week at the Wildcat Market.

Music was mixed by Clemente’s own DJ Showtime, and students quickly hit the dance floor. Young wildcats showed off their dance moves to salsa, bachata, hip hop, and hit songs from today and the past. Dancers came together to do a school-wide Cha Cha slide. The dance culminated in the announcement of Clemente’s 2013 Homecoming Court:

Queen/King (Seniors): Rosalind Walker and Edwin Morales

Princess/Prince (Juniors): Sierra Young and Roland Corona

Duchess/Duke (Sophomores): Alyssa Gniadek and Christian Rivera

Baroness/Baron (Freshmen): Ashley Andino and Demetrius Crespo

Homecoming 2013 brought out the already-strong Clemente school spirit. Those who attended the dance were again reminded how close the Clemente family is.
