Marketing through College Algebra
This week in College Algebra, students were introduced to markets. Students have been exploring the different types of markets that exist in the United States and around the world, and have also explored the efforts that go into making a market run. Students have been working this week on manipulating variables, creating functions, and factoring to solve various types of equations. They have been participated in electronic quizzes, games, and activities to assess their ability and push them to reach higher levels. At the end of the week, students invented their own hypothetical market, using their knowledge of applied factoring techniques to discover the impact of changing a specific variable within their market. Students will explore the ideas of profit, income, and interest within their market and also recognize that value and success of a market relies on numerous variables.
