COMMUNITY INQUIRY

As they begin their countdown to graduation, Senior Seminar students are completing their third quarter Community Inquiry Multi-Genre project. The project asks students to select one community within Chicago (or beyond) and present key triumphs as well as concerns within their chosen community. The students were asked to examine how the community celebrates triumphs as well as how it responds to various concerns, and to reflect upon the knowledge gained from active research. Students interviewed various community members, conducted other methods of research, then crafted thought-provoking presentations in Clemente’s new sixth floor Mac computer lab! With our seniors just a few months away from transitioning out of high school and into the “real” world, the Community Inquiry Project allows them an opportunity to discover the power of community… a power we hope they can tap into for support in achieving their goals!
