sliderBroadcastTechThe CTE Broadcast Technology Program here at Roberto Clemente Community Academy welcomes you and your family to our great school. We are excited to be one of many great reasons families choose to send their student to Roberto Clemente Community Academy! Roberto Clemente is a safe, nurturing, diverse, family-friendly neighborhood school with rigorous, effective academic programs, exciting interactions, and engaging lessons.

Students of the Broadcast Technology Program will have many hands-on experiences. They will learn how to produce, direct, write various media scripts, storyboard, shoot, compose audio file and edit using the latest version of Final Cut Pro software. Some of the projects our students will work on will include Public Service Announcements, documentaries, commercials, short films, newscasts, and news reports. Seniors of the broadcasting program will work on their independent projects which will be a big part of their portfolio. Our broadcasting program will support our students in their quest to become great communicators and creators of digital information – in particular, broadcast media.

Our Broadcast Technology Program creates opportunities for our students to be leaders who are productive, responsible, caring, reflective and conscientious members of their community. They will have many chances to participate in real life media experiences. On September 22, 2015, our students recorded and edited a visit from Congressman Luis Gutierrez of the 4th congressional district. It was an incredible dialogue in which Clemente students exchanged thoughts, ideas, and global concerns with the congressman. We cannot wait to see what other wonderful, creative projects our students will complete. Many more doors will open for them as they continue to explore and prepare for better opportunities, colleges, and careers. This year promises to be great as we set high expectations for learning, and make room for some fun.
