Clemente Homecoming 2016

2013 Homecoming_logoHELLO WILDCATS! The Roberto Clemente Community Academy football team kicked off their homecoming with an AWESOME pep rally followed by an action packed game Friday night against Urban Prep. Many Wildcat students and family members were in attendance to see Richard Labon run a 20 yard touchdown to put Clemente on the board in the first quarter. Safety, Joe Rhymes, and running back, Jakobi Snipes, also reached the end zone but unfortunately their touchdowns were not counted due to highly questionable penalties. Fans were able to catch an amazing halftime performance by our talented dance and cheerleading teams with musical melodies from our awesome drumline! Also during halftime, senior players were acknowledged for their hard work and dedication and roses were given to their parents to show them appreciate as well. It seemed as if the Wildcats were going to let another one slip through their fingers when an opposing player’s injury, followed by an unfortunate chain of events, caused the referees to stop the game.

The varsity Wildcats play their final regular season game next week against Douglass Academy High School. Date and time TBA.

GO WILDCATS!
