The Beautification of Paseo Boricua

Roberto Clemente Community Academy and Pedro Albizu Campos High School students joined together on May 12th for a Beautification Project on Paseo Boricua. Our students decorated the planters on Division Street with over 200 plants to make their community a beautiful place. They took pride in their contribution to the community and enjoyed the experience.

“I felt like I was giving something back to my community and it felt great to see people from this community helping. Division Street is an important strip in our community and it’s important to keep it looking good.”

-Durojaiye Rosa, freshman

“The Beautification project was really fun and I enjoyed it. I got to spend time with most of my classmates and have fun at the same time. Now every time I pass through Division I can tell my family that I planted those plants.”

Joshua Rodriguez, freshman

“I like helping the community and making our community look like a better place. I met new people, and everyone got along to make Division a better place for us.”

-Raymond Dampier, freshman
