Senior Seminar Web Story Pic 3.31.16The Dell Scholarship foundation was established by Michael and Susan Dell in 1999. The foundation was created in the hopes that students would be able to potentially achieve much greater accomplishments. The establishment was founded in Austin, Texas. This foundation is focused on funding high-quality public education. The Michael and Susan Dell foundation have donated over a billion dollars to assist various non-profit organizations.

In order to be eligible for the Dell Scholarship, the applicant must have met a certain criteria. The student must first have at least a GPA of at least 2.4 and must be graduating from an accredited high school. The applicant must display a need for financial assistance. The applicant must also be planning to enroll as a full-time student studying for a bachelor’s degree, at least. The pell grant must be offered to the applicant for their first year of college.

The availability of the scholarship opens up to the public on November 1st and closes January 15th. Applicants will then be required to send in additional information if chosen for the semi-finalist. The deadline to turn the additional information is March 10th. Students that are then chosen as a semi-finalist will be asked to wait patiently. When all has been turned in and the student has been informed of their completion, they will await the announcement date. The date that the winners are announced is on April 10th.
