Clemente Students Prepare for AP Exam

In preparation for the AP exam, Clemente students created an extended response essay identifying and defending a topic of their choice. The objective was to research and gather compelling evidence to bring to a Supreme Court hearing. On Tuesday March 4th, the AP US Government class conducted a mock trial with a 12-member jury, followed by a Supreme Court trial with 9 justices, with multiple students presenting both sides of the argument. The two topics chosen were immigration reform and Chicago’s speed cameras. Students identified issues related to immigration reform and brought up concerns about the invasion of privacy through speed cameras.
